Flamingo Crossing has some of the better ice cream I've had in a while. I ordered the Mango and Mamey ice cream and it was very creamy. There are a little over 20 flavored to choose from which include some of your traditional flavors and some more tropical and unique flavors that you don't see too often. There is more room to sit outside than there is inside but overall it's a nice ice cream parlor and worth the stop. Only downside is that they only accept cash, although they have an atm in the building.

Old grumpy man working. Didn't say hi when we walked in. We were the only people in there. He kept yelling at me to save my spoons but i didn't and still don't know why. I ended up throwing them away when he wasn't looking. I tried a few flavors but decided to go with my original, Mint chocolate chip. It was not minty at all. I was upset since you can't really mess this one up but this place did. All well. Cash only!!!!

Some of the best ice cream I have ever had! worth it! GO! Yes, the guy at the counter is full of sarcasm and what not but who cares. The ice cream is so worth it. I thought he was funny anyway. Delicious.

I always recommend avoiding the chains. There are a number of places with decent gelato here (Duettos), but if I'm in Old Town and want ice cream, I always go to Flamingo Crossing. First - CASH ONLY. The selection of flavors here is good- your standards, and a few exotics. The ice cream is good, and the prices are reasonable for Old Town. It's a local business, and (imo) better to have this than the generic Haagen Dazs you get everywhere else. The service is always fast and with a smile. If you're used to some of the great gourmet ice cream you can get in New England, you will probably be a little disappointed. But (along with two scoops in Mid Town) this is the best ice cream on Key West.

After walking past this place several times we decided to stop in to see what all the hypes about we noticed the reviews are all over the place most of the negative reviews are in regards to service and pricing. We ordered up two small cones with Strawberry ice-cream, the cones are really kiddie size with very small scoops of really good ice cream but at $4.00 each you need to be memorable this was good but not great by any means. The woman serving up the treats was not overly friendly and just served what we ordered not offering any suggestions, a smile or a thank you she was just doing her job. After enjoying the 4 or 5 bites I decided to do a few calculations not that I'm cheap by any means just curious about the value it's kinda comical if you think about it. 3 oz ice cream @ $4.00 = $1.33 per oz $1.33 x 128 oz = $170.24 a gallon How do you like it now :-)

All the restaurants in Key West seem to serve Flamingo Crossing ice cream. Reviews say it's the best in Key West. You know what? They're all wrong. It was thoroughly mediocre. And the guy serving us was grumpy. Get ice cream at Mattheessen's instead!

    (2)
  • Chabeli C.

I am giving two stars only for the ice cream quality. The service is so poor. That old man is quite rude :(

    (2)
  • Cole T.

This is the best ice cream you'll get in Key West. They're the only place on Duval that makes their own stuff every day, everything is delicious, and they have an extremely diverse selection. The people behind the counter are super knowledgeable, too, and definitely willing to help if you ask about a flavor.

    (5)
  • Michelle R.

Ice cream is ok, but when the service is not, make everything taste bad :-( it's a shame this place has potential, but a simple hello when walking in would have been great! The place was empty, and the man behind the counter was counting money, but never turned around to acknowledge us or say 'I'll be right with you'. When he finally turned around almost 4 min later, he just said "what can I get you" - no "thanks for waiting, or how you doing?" - very odd, especially when you are with kids at an ice cream shop!!! :-(

  • Michele E.

Delicious home made ice cream with many flavors to choose from AND they're very well priced, in my opinion!

    (5)
  • Anna M.

The best ice cream in Key West !!!! Passion fruit ice cream, mango ice cream, rum runner ice cream, coconut ice cream and rum raisin ice cream - THE BEST !!! We are coming back to this place for many years .

  • Katie S.

My fiance and I were in town for 5 days and we went here 3 times :) Everything I tried I loved, especially the Key Lime Ice Cream. We adored this place. We tried other ice cream places and this place was for sure the best and cheapest.

    (5)
  • T M.

Great ice cream. Cash only is a bit of a hassle, especially since the prices are not super low (not terrible, but cards would be helpful). Bathrooms are very clean. Worth the trip!

    (4)
  • Chris I.

Ridiculous ice cream!!!! If you are in the area you must stop by. They make everything in house and the staff couldn't be nicer. We went in on a particularly hot day and they were more than happy to let us sample whatever we wanted. Everything was super fresh and delicious! It's cash only so be forewarned but seriously guys. It's ice cream. Pay in cash. :)

Disclaimer: I'm not a dessert person. That being said, I did give it a shot as it is homemade. Simply put, had the chocolate amaretto and it was very good. The chocolate had the nice blend of sweet and savory with a touch of the amaretto afterwards. The group tried a few other flavors and the response was similar: unique and enjoyable ice cream. If you're on Duval and need a cold treat, here's a quality stop.

  • Grace M.

Been spoiled by other ice cream locations but this place had the atmosphere and flavors befitting Duval street. Had the key lime and rather enjoyed it.

    (3)
  • Teri D.

Cash only but $4.75 for two smallish scoops in a cup (there's an ATM inside). The guy working the counter is a little short on "friendly" but that's ok. Lots of good flavors and you can eat outside while watching the world go by on Duval. Had the mango and key lime flavors. Turned out that I preferred the key lime. Not the best ice cream I've ever had but not bad either.

  • chelsea p.

1 star for service. Oh so yummy!! They have a plethora of tropical flavors--mangayana, mango, papaya, cocoanut, guava, and, of course, key lime. HOWEVER, with so many flavors the guy working behind the counter put a CAP on 2 "tastes". We were obviously going to get something, as we are two adults and wanted ice cream. We were the only 2 people in shop at the time, but the guy was a total sample nazi! I almost walked out after he told us the "rule". Didn't leave a tip after my friend got his key lime mango mix, and I got my key lime papaya mix. After all, $5 per cup and two barely-there tastes to decide? I could understand if it was only the basics, but COME ON! We weren't teenagers goofing off, kids trying to get freebies, or even drunk(!), but this guy was being lazy or just had control issues or something! Overall, this place had amazing ice cream! Tip: Make sure you plan your taste tests in advance, say, a few days. If you are new to the rare find of tropical flavors, you may want to plan 3 separate trips in before buying!

Got Haagen Dasz the day before and was super disappointed. Went here and had the coconut and butter pecan ice creams - really great on a hot day! Friendly service. SKIP HAAGEN DAZS and go here for sure - you won't be disappointed.

  • Rach K.

Yum! A welcome refreshment on a hot day for sure. I went in and was greeted by a really sweet lady who let me know that the most popular flavor was the orange sorbet which helped me make my decision. I got a small cup of the orange sorbet, duh!, and the coconut ice cream. The orange sorbet was so refreshing and delicious - tasted like orange juice but obviously the texture was that of a smooth sorbet. The coconut was probably one of the best coconut ice creams I've ever had. It tasted like real coconut, none of that artificial sunscreen smell, and it had bits of coconut flakes stirred throughout for added texture and flavor. A definite must for tourists who are shopping on Duval.

  • Danielle M.

Worst Ice Cream Experience Ever! My best friend and I walked into this shop looking for a fun snack. Before I ordered, I explained to the lady behind the counter that I had a severe nut allergy and asked if the scooper could be cleaned prior to her scooping my ice cream. The lady rudely threw her hands up and told me "she would not be responsible for my death" and that "she had a fish allergy and would never walk into a fish restaurant and ask them to clean the spatula." My friend and I were upset by how rude this lady was to us and just left. I have had a severe nut allergy all my life and have never been treated that way by any restaurant establishment. Most ice cream restaurants have special procedures for people with allergies.

Sorry, I was really unimpressed. The gentleman who served us was rather surly. He started off by telling us the store is "cash only," which is pretty clear from all the signs. Not a great way to make a customer feel welcome. I just got the feeling that he was doing me a favor by selling me his ice cream. I bought one "petite" and one "regular" -- but I didn't see much difference. Both were pretty darn small. The total price was $9 for two small scoops. Ouch! The ice cream itself was good--but nothing too special. Aside from the unusual flavors, it could be grocery store brand ice cream. Bad attitude, with small portions and big prices... Not exactly a recipe for success. This was like two visit for me -- my first and my last.

    (1)
  • M G.

Had the guava ice cream yum yum HD had chocolate amaretto, also good. Woman behind the counter was surly and was least interested in serving us, was more engrossed in flipping through her magazine.

    (3)
  • Jessica N.

This place was amazing. The ice cream and gelato is off the hook! Plus I looooved the alcoholic ones. Chocolate Amaretto and Irish Coffee were both delicious. AND generous servings!! It's a must try!

    (5)
  • Rebecca H.

They make their own, they are local, they have creative flavors you have never had before, and will let you try a taste of anything before you buy. Other than being cash-only, I have no idea what not to like about this place. Great outside seating on their porch, and just far enough up Duval to keep it from being too much of a touristy show.

    (5)
  • Paul S.

Best in Key West! Homemade, with plenty of local flare and flavor. The gentleman, whose name I've forgotten, offered plenty of humor (although he may be quiet/dutiful about his work). He's been there for decades and gives a great face to a necessary niche: sunshine and ice cream! We ordered three cones with multiple flavors: mamey, black mangrove, guanabana, guava, and raisin rum. All worth repeating. We also ordered a chocolate shake that came back more like chocolate milk in the 85 degree heat... Buyer beware, I guess. Support the locals.

  • Jordan T.

If u like home made ice cream, this is the place! Stumbled in after dinner, glad we did!

    (5)
  • Winifred R.

Great ice cream but very disappointing service. I was visiting Key West and was looking for some ice cream so I decided to stop by this shop. First of all I only asked to sample two flavors. The man behind the counter glared at me and then gave me the samples. He was definitely a grump and totally changed my perspective about the shop. Although the ice cream was good the service was completely disappointing.

    (2)
  • Jesse S.

My favorite place to get ice cream. English custard, keylime, and Cuban coffee are great!

    (5)
  • Lydia D.

Couldn't help but be lured into the shop on my last visit to Key West. It's so nicely decorated on the outside and it beckons you to enjoy and relax in their front patio area. Once inside we found it to be very clean... The only issue we had is that they offer so many flavors that it's difficult to decide! So upon tasting a few samples we decided to go with mamey and key lime shakes. They were delicious!! The gentleman was quiet, respectful, and even gave us the excess shakes since he made more than fit in the cups. We were pleased. Yes, it's a little pricey and they only take cash but for goodness sakes, how often do you find such tropical homemade flavors?! I can't wait for my next Key West trip and I will be certain to enjoy more tropical treats at this sweet little shop.

    (5)
  • Shruti D.

This place was good but had some better places while in Key West. The staff was not really friendly either. Didn't even let us try any of the flavors. When we were sitting outside, they were closing and basically told us we needed to leave. Didn't really feel welcomed.

    (3)
  • K L.

Very disappointed. Had chocolate chip and seriously store bought ice cream (even private label) is better. They advertise homemade ice cream but I doubt it was homemade at all. Homemade does not taste this bad. Do your self a favor and pick up something at the supermarket. You can thank me later :)

    (1)
  • Anthony P.

Love the key lime pie ice cream

    (4)
  • Ronald S.

cuban coffee ice cream was very good, but a little pre-melty soft. friendly people in front of us (locals) didnt seem to know how lines work and tried very hard to stand in front of all the ice cream so we couldn't see what the flavors looked like. shoulda tried the sour sop.

    (3)
  • C C.

Holy crap! Go. Just...go. Words don't do it justice. Locally-made, creative, inspired, and excellent flavours make this one of the best ice cream parlors I've ever been to. It's cash-only, so bring a tenner, but go. Like, yesterday.

    (5)
  • D R.

Cuban coffee and rum raisin for us. It was decent. Milky (that's good), Not quite what I had hoped and not what I'd expect from a local make your own spot. It's not bad. It's just not great. Going to keep looking.

    (3)
  • Veronica G.

Best ice cream in the world! Home made taste. They have a great assortment of flavors including tropical fruits (papaya, mango, coconut) Its a cad only establishment. Well worth the price. I love it!

Always one to patronize the locally owned homemade types of places, we capped off our day trip to Key West with a visit to Flamingo Crossing. What's great is that you can have up to two flavors in a small and up to three flavors in a medium, allowing you to mix and match to try all the unique flavors. I had wanted to go with rum raisin, key lime and banana however they were out of the banana and didn't update the menu so I went with coconut instead. The rum raisin was awesome and hands down the best of the three! The key lime was good but not spectacular and I was a little disappointed with the coconut which was very subtle and had ice crystals in it. But the rum raisin...man, that was just great! Be warned: they don't take credit card! The person who ordered ahead of us didn't know this until she went to pay and then had to go track her husband down to find cash. While I know some businesses don't want to deal with the hassles of credit cards and the associated merchant fees, I do have to say it is kind of lame as I rarely carry cash on me and rely mostly on a debit card. The rum raisin would get six stars if possible, the key lime three and the coconut two...which rounding up comes out to four stars for me. If Yelp did half stars, I would deduct a half a star for the cash only thing, but given the portions were plentiful and that you can mix and match flavors, I'll let it go.

Go else where. Very overrated ice cream. I was very disappointed. I searched for "best ice cream on Key West" in Google and this place popped up thanks to Yelp reviews and stuff. So we ended up at this place. 1) I proceed to ask the guy (one guy - sounds like same person other reviewers seem to point out as very strange to them as well) which flavor is most popular. His answer is vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. I then asked ok, what about out of these 30 different flavors that you have here, which is the best selling. He said all of them. Ok. Clearly this isn't going too well. 2) The menu board/price board was hard to read, but the $4.95 "cup" was in big letters as the most popular choice so I had to ask what was the $4.95 cup and he basically yelled "two scoops". Ok. 3) We try two scoops of random flavors (one being key lime). The scoops were basically scoops - not the generous scoop at your local carvel or something, but the stingy scoop that's probably more like a few tablespoons. So for $5 I can buy a container of ice cream at the super market, but at this place I get enough that barely fills a small cup. 4) Holy moly, was the ice cream simply not memorable. It just wasn't great. Ice cream is ice cream, it has sugar and it is sweet. Beyond that? Nothing spectacular. To the other reviewers giving this 4 and 5 stars, what are you on? The frozen yogurt shops that have been popping up all over the country are vastly superior to this and you could get twice the amount of better tasting "food" for $4.95.

Excellent lemon sorbet. Reasonable prices. Surly employee. Premium people-watching. Open late.

    (4)
  • George J.

Tasty ice cream made here. Nice outside seating for people watching. On the more quieter side of Duval.

    (3)
  • Will L.

What I like most about this place is they make much of their own ice cream and they have tropical fruit flavors that you can't get elsewhere on the island

    (4)
  • Michael B.

great ice cream , hand made . Rum raisen really has rum in it. Been here a few time I always go back,

    (4)
  • Stephanie G.

AVOID this place. Woman behind the counter is RUDE. She insulted a foreign couple because he didn't pronounce the word correctly, kept muttering insults under her breath the whole time. Mediocre ice cream. Walk the extra two blocks to Haagen Dazs, this place doesn't deserve your business.

    (1)
  • Danielle N.

Delicious ice cream, made in Key West! I wish they always had the Irish Coffee as it is my absolute fave. The Kahlua is good, but not as good as the IC. The soursop didn't have a strong enough soursop taste to me. The coconut and cookies and cream and cardamom are also very good. It's true, more often that not we've had a slightly rude person behind the counter, but we keep going back - just because it's that good and we like supporting a place that makes things from scratch. And once in a while there's a nice woman working there - bonus! The only way the ice cream could be better is if it were organic.

  • Melany D.

THE BEST. Every year during our visit it is a must stop. THE BEST ice cream. ALL flavors are yummy! but the tahitian vanilla is going to BLOW YOU AWAY it is soooooo amazing! please just beleive me...so so good

  • Mihir M.

Great creative flavors - many tropical flavors that you won't find these in many other ice cream parlors! Good service.

    (5)
  • Dale G.

Giving them 5 stars for staying open until 11 p.m., selection, and friendliness of the staff. We tried a few flavors and were never disappointed. Loved the butterscotch, cookies & cream, Cuban coffee, mint chocolate chip. Almost tried the avocado but couldn't do it. This place is great!

    (5)
  • Amy J.

Delicious! Try the Cuban Coffee gelato.

    (5)
  • Kevin L.

Great ice cream, sorbet not so much. Nice to drop by when you're tired of walking around Key West.

    (3)
  • Ali V.

Nothing special. Strawberries and cream ice cream is delicious, but other than that not too special of a place.

    (2)
  • John D.

Mangrove walnut ice cream was great. The coconut flavor is also good. The prices are decent for what you're getting, and the staff are friendly. It's a bit of a hike if you're down at the end of Duval St., but worth the walk (besides, you get to burn off a little of it too).

    (4)
  • Jenn H.

    Sour Sop is delicious!

I have to say after reading all the fabulous reviews I was very disappointed with my experience at Flamingo Crossing. My boyfriend and I were excited to try this place out, thanks to the yelpers - we walked in and it was almost as though we were annoying the two ladies behind the counter. I asked for a sample and the woman was less than enthused to provide me with a taste. So much so, I was scared to ask for another! I mean this place is known for its homemade ice cream with exotic flavors the least you can do is encourage a sample! Anyway things like that sway my opinion because I am a small business owner myself and first impressions are EVERYTHING! My boyfriend ordered the coconut and the key lime ice cream. The key lime was tasty - of the four flavors we tried it was our favorite. . The coconut - now are you kidding me? it was filled with ice chips and not even creamy! Such a bland taste. You can have better with Häagen-Dazs. If you really want to experience Coconut ice cream heaven visit Hoffman's in Spring Lake, NJ. If there's is a 10, this place's is a 2. The ice cream was not packed into the cone so as soon as we went outside to sit and enjoy the first scoop of his fell to the ground. He bought it inside and kindly asked for a replacement and they gave him maybe two tablespoons more! Come on! It was an accident. Don't you want people to enjoy their experience? The poor customer service also contributed to the experience. I had the Mangrove Honey Walnut and the Rum Raisin - both were OK. nothing mind blowing. Save your calories and go get a delish key lime pie on a stick or Matthessen's cookie! It was not horrible just did not live up to the hype.

not one to right a review...but as for icecream: some of the best i've had in a very long time. Very satisfying...doesnt JUST taste good-hard to articulate. as for service: some of the worst ive seen in an ice cream shop. The short guy with the short black hair behind the counter was particularly rude...based on icecream alone we mightve came back the next day...but i think were gonna try somewhere new. if you cant get past the bad service i highly recommend it.

    (3)
  • Charlie T.

I had the Apples and Cinnamon sorbet, because they "didn't have the key lime sorbet today". Be careful of the creepy "Christian Tip Jar" on the counter (picture attached).

    (3)
  • RIMA A.

It's a small ice cream shop they have over 20 different flavor but that's all they have But again who needs the extra topping that's going to hide the amazing flavor and taste of the homemade ice cream Must have......

    (5)
  • Thy C.

What caught my eye was the variety of tropical flavors they have. The ice cream was okay, I gave it 4 stars because of the flavor, from guava to mamey. A must to enjoy in the Key West sun!

    (4)
  • Kristen Z.

Spoon nazi!!! Don't expect to sample any flavors without an attitude to go with it.

  • Robert C.

Apparently Napolean's offspring decided to move to Key West and open an ice cream store. This short, rude little french man told us the line started over here and pointed to the other end of a 6ft long ice cream counter after we had been waiting for a few minutes. Apparently there was a "line starts here" sign like Subway, but only he could see it because it was invisible to everyone else. He asked me if I wanted two spoons like it was a courtesy, I said yes, and he proceeded to charge me an additional 25 cents. I figured out afterwards the charge was buried in some whiteboard scribble behind the counter. The ice cream was mediocre, I've had much better out of a grocery store. I should have just walked out after the guy behidn the country was a rude jerk. It wasn't a surprise his tip jar was empty.

  • Jason K.

Been coming to Key West for several years now and usually try to stop here to get some good ice cream. Through out all the times I have been to Flamingo Crossing I have never had a bad experience. The French Vanilla is rich and creamy, Rum Raisin was another one of my favorites. This last visit I had the Mango and Chocolate Chip Mint and found it to be rather pleasant. I found the portion size to be ample enough for the five dollar dish with two flavors. We found out about this place because we had an ice cream dessert at Croissant De France which we thought the ice cream was awesome, we asked where they got the ice cream and they stated Flamingo Crossing's. The ice cream has to be somewhat good if the local businesses are using it. Everybody has their preference, so give it a whirl and see what you think.

    (4)
  • Melissa B.

Some of the flavors are amazing, others not so much. Wish they had cherries for the sundaes.

    (3)
  • Amanda D.

Amazing. Do I need to really write more? They make all of their flavors right there in house everyday. And they have flavors your only going to get in KeyWest. I had Mangrove Honey with walnuts and mint chocolate chip. It was fantastic! My mom had something rather strange and tart, dont remember what it was called, but it was still super good. Even the keylime icecream is awesome. If we had one of these in Ocala, Id be in heaven. A definate stop for anyone looking for authentic Key West flavor, right on Duval. Ps..It is wheelchair accessible! Its around the back behind a huge plumeria tree, but its very considerate.

  • Chris K.

Let me make this easy for you, if you like ice cream, you need to go here. It's homemade and has every tropical flavor you could imagine, and some you probably would never think of. They also have sorbet. The staff is friendly and happy to give you a sample if you want to try something new so be adventurous!

  • L C.

It embarrasses me a little to write this review, because it means that I have to admit that I went to Flamingo Crossing three nights out of the five I spent in Key West. Oh, screw being embarrassed... I only wish I had discovered it sooner and gone five for five! Flamingo Crossing has AMAZING, homemade ice cream in incredibly creative flavors, many with an island flair. Of the six sumptuous and creamy flavors we tried, I can't even decide on a favorite, they were all so good. Of course you need to try the key lime flavor (I'm talking ice cream here, not sorbet, though I'm sure the sorbet is fine if you are allergic to ice cream.... even though I would probably still eat ice cream even if I were allergic). I paired that with Mangrove Walnut and Honey, which was soooooo good. Over the next two nights, we also sampled the English custard, coconut, papaya, and something else that tragically escapes me right now. The girl at the counter worked so hard scooping, but was the most cheerful, pleasant person you could imagine. If you care to save her some trouble, I would avoid ordering a time-consuming milkshake if there's a long line behind you. A small is not small at all-- it's 2 huge scoops.

Super convenient on the main drag when you just want an ice cream.

    (3)
  • Jamie J.

Just ok ice cream. Alright price. Bathroom had experienced a recent blowout and it was not clean...and the sign on the door is laughable - "Only 1 adult allowed in the bathroom at a time."

    (2)
  • Christina B.

Amazing homemade flavors. Perfect way to beat a hot July night!

    (5)
  • Josh C.

Not much curb appeal here and the service rather abrupt (but no-nonsense ain't all bad). That said, portions were very large and great ice cream. Very good flavor, texture and quality. We would definitely return (and probably will later in this trip).

    (4)
  • Deanna H.

What delicious ice cream. Too bad the help isn't very friendly.

    (4)
  • Greg Z.

What ice cream should be! Great tropical flavors made in the shop. Coconut was fantastic.

    (5)
  • Samantha M.

Yum. Mango is very good and the strawberries and cream, well you can taste the cream. All homemade, I wish there were a few more flavors though. Bring cash because they don't accept anything else.

    (4)
  • Ed T.

Ice cream is good but it was so hot inside (10pm in april) by the time I paid I think my hand was soaked in melted ice cream.

    (3)
  • Kristin H.

Good ice cream, but I'm not sure if the guy scooping was high or had electro-shock therapy at some time in his life...it was a little like ordering from a zombie. Not exactly Mr. Personality. Maybe he'd just had a lot of botox and couldn't use his face for any expressions to respond to us?

    (3)
  • Dan W.

One of the best ice cream places I've been to. I was there at least once a week, a great way to cool down after walking on Duval. The have a great variety of flavors, mostly made from tropical fruits that I've never heard of but taste like heaven. If you're on the island for a short vacation I suggest you skip the traditionals (like cookies n cream, not that they weren't also amazing) and try the local inventions! Of course you can have a taste before getting a cone-full of it too.

    (5)
  • Sam H.

This is the best ice cream shop in Key West. Do not miss this stop if you're crawling Duval at night. The coconut ice cream is stellar. A word on service: On our most recent trip, the lovely gentleman tending the counter was willing to keep the shop open after close for a few minutes so that we could make a late night stop.

Ive been going here probably since I was 5, it is extremely good. classic are top notch (cookies and cream), as well as non-traditional like cuban coffee, guanabana, mangrove honey n walnut, and english custard. I know Blue Heaven and Louie's Backyard offer their ice cream and sorbet on their dessert menus. Made fresh daily. I've walked from the Old Seaport to here with some very cranky people to get a scoop and not suprisingly it raised their spirits.

Flamingo Crossing is a familiar stop when I'm visiting the island which I called home for a few years. The homemade ice cream is beyond amazing, and flavors that you just don't expect. Lychee, who'd have thunk it? Servers are friendly, and scoops are generous. Have a cup or cone while you're there, and take a pint back to the hotel - you'll want some later! Try the Banana flavor, as well as Key Lime. Or for ice cream traditionalists, you can't beat Tahitian Vanilla, French Chocolate or Cuban Coffee - the only ice cream that will keep you up long enough to close down the bars!

I got the key lime and lemon sorbet ($4.25) my 1st night in Key West and they were delicious. I kept wanting to go back, it tasted so good and felt refreshing later at night.

Seriously, some of the best ice cream I've ever had in my life... EVER. I've had homemade, fresh ice cream--from stores in five different states as well as that made by pastry chefs in fancy restaurants. There have only been two better (one in OH and one in CA). This place is a real gem. Many of the island's best restaurants serve the ice cream as part of their dessert menu--and that is a great decision on their part.

Best ice cream in key West although depending on the employee you get, you might not get the best of service, lines also can run pretty long at times.
